Around here every good farmer owns a pair of Big Bill overalls, you know, the kind with the blue stripes that look like a conductors hat. Anyway, my father hasn't seemed to own any shorts for the last ten years so I thought it was time for a change.
I found the perfect candidates for my project hanging out in a heap in the shop so and after a heavy wash cycle they were ready to be converted. The rest was simple-all I did was figure out how long I wanted them to be, measured, marked, cut and then used iron on hem tape to finish. I even added a red handkerchief in the pockets for that extra homey touch.
And voila...
