After last weeks Threshing Festival-an absolute blast-we thought we would leave the trailer here to be close by for my Aunt's Canada Day celebration. This year we are bringing the salad-not exciting but a great way to use up all that lettuce I have in the garden.
Every year we gather at her farm to have a bonfire, wear red and eat roasted marshmallows. The kids have a ball playing on their rustic (not rusty) playground and I know my daughter will be ogling the horses and asking yet again for a pony. If only great grandpa would let her! Of course then we would have the Herculean task of cleaning out a spot to put said pony.
But for right now I am going to sit on the patio swing, enjoy the breeze and watch the squirrels.
